In Adi's home, I oft did roam,
A daughter of sorts, in Meena's home,
Her love for me, she oft did claim,
But one day, everything changed.
Adi had returned from far away,
With emerald bangles, to my delight,
We hugged so tight, passion ablaze,
Not knowing Meena, was nearby to gaze.
Her eyes like fish, angry and fierce,
Her disapproval, oh so clear,
I left that day
For I never heard from Adi since then,
A love once blossomed, now turned to zen,
A mother's love, once felt so true,
Now a distant memory, without a clue.
Oh Meena, what changed your heart so?
Why did our love have to go?
I'll forever wonder, never know,
As I mourn, this enduring silence.....
