Offlate, a scene in a song I overlooked took me by utter surprise.
This is from a film in prior to a song, where the hero, who feels unworthy of the girl, is conflicted by his feelings for her. He struggles as he has approached her on someone else's behalf but falls for her.
The song is here

His character is that of a hair dresser.
What I love about this frame is the purity that probably the cinematographer has tried to portray......
It reminded me of this picture
My soul always yearned for that? I loved my mother chanting slokas when she plaited my hair, when I went to school....
My mother's sister, used to --- keep brushing my hair... endlessly
That felt so calming...
Like someone whispering...
"i know , i know... iknow what youeve been through...
its ok....."
Its intimacy but with deep care and affection...
Something that resonates on a soul level...
Krishna was an incarnate of the godess probably thats why he understood Radha so well...
May be Radha saw her mother in him......
Like the depictions of Krishn Kali
This brings me to adorning the hair with flowers....
What is beautiful when the man, a woman loves, buys flowers.....
I remember a scene.....
When the heroine asks the boy who loves her ...
"if she can take the flowers there on a plate......"
Its so painful....
and she is persued by him...
but this doesnt happen that time...
probably, he doesnt understand her feelings....
Do men really get women's feelings...
My father did give flowers to my mom.....
but i never knew what my mom felt.....
i think flowers have a beauty....
they should be given with beauty......
with respectful subtlety both for the flowers and the woman.....and the beautiful flower lady who
relentlessly make our days beautiful....
So i created a gibli art....
To Lovely dreamy nights......
To lovely Tamil Nadu
